My VS story

End of the season is the best time to buy stuff at a bargain price. I am known by many that I shopped name brand items. Only victoria's secret items can pass the intimate side of me. During their semi-annual sale I see to it that I can buy enough intimate items for myself.  VS underwear is a sexy statement in itself. Yes, I do wear them who doesn't?

I love their sleepwear, too bad they are pricey, I have couple of pairs from them. My husband bought them especially on occasions wherein he run out of ideas to surprise me and he knows anything from VS intimate apparel would never fail my discriminating taste!

I can't wait for the next semi-annual sale this coming December, I am sure I'll be hoarding VS stuff again!

the iPad saga

I finally bought an iPad for my sister and I have to use this for now so I can get a hang of using it, then I will decide if I have to buy my own. I also bought a silicon case, I knew there are numerous accessories to fully enjoy the iPad but I will just let my sister buy it for herself.

 

 

I am not addicted to computer games so I did not purchase any apps. I downloaded facebook app, and a few others.

Shopping at West Point

Shopping for MOM

When my brother got married last June, I saw my mom's photos lugging a huge purse inappropriate for the occasion. My sister and I got alarmed. Maybe the fashion savvy in us made us think that mom didn't look great with an everyday purse during a more formal gathering. I understand that fashionable clutch bag is not my mom's main concern because she has been through a lot of tough times during our growing up years. 

Anyhow, I bought clutch bags for her so she can use 'em whenever she attends a formal event like weddings and parties that requires her to dress up.  Currently I got two different designs that I think she'll be able to enjoy regardless of the color of her outfit. Fashion trend always changing,  it does not follow one single rule, not long time ago, shoes and bags should match but nowadays, it doesn't have to match rather making each piece work  together to compliment with the outfit and the attitude of the person wearing them. It does made sense to me now. I like the idea of mixing different pieces and the result creates a touch of class and hip. Unless going for a classic look, black color always go with other shades of black like cooper tone and or silver gray. Otherwise, reinventing color coordination is a must have in today's trend.

Gold clutch, this can be worn with any color of shoes and trendy printed clothes to classic & monotone dresses and the result should be an awesome combination.

Leopard print, like the gold one above this can be matched with monotone shoes & outfit. As I have said, fashion does not have to follow one single rule. This design can be used in different occasion, be it formal or semi-formal depending on the event. For formal occasions, I suggest to wear solid colors depending on your mood, because your mood is one of the basics in showing your fashion sense. For semi-formal event, like dining out or clubbing, wear your best outfit with a contrasting color of shoes like fuschia, green or even neon colors. Reinvent yourself!

My husband asked my why I am itching to go out today and check  those water bottles at the mall. TV Watcher

If someone asked me what my favorite pastime was I would probably tell them boating or reading or something like that to make me feel more cultured. But in actuality, my favorite thing to do on a Saturday night if I?m not doing anything else is totally veg out in front of Lifetime and get invested in a corny movie. I recently got www.TvbyDIRECT.COM at home and I?ve been making up excuses so I can stay there and watch TV which is really kind of pathetic when you think about it. I know I?m a woman so I?m supposed to like Lifetime but honestly it makes me feel even more lame than if I didn?t like it! I guess it?s not that big of a deal and there are worse things I could be doing with my time but I feel like if any of my friends found out that I like to sit on the couch with a pan of brownies and a Meredith Baxter movie I would never hear the end of it!

shopping life lives on and some random things

Though I may have not updated my shopping trips here, rest assured that I am still up for it. Because I believed that once a shopper will always be a shopper. But that does not mean I really have to buy loads of items but maybe a few. Just so you know!

Anyway, for the the record I am proud to announce to the world that I bought a new purse. Its from Louis Vuitton-- Speedy 35 in damier. Just google for pics because I am very lazy to take pictures of it. The reason why I bought it is because I told my sister that I had been working too much I need to compensate myself for doing so. Besides that, I've been nice to my folks back home since I tried to convince our father to see a doctor for a general check up to check him if there's anything that needs to be address with his health. My persistence paid off, he went to the doctor and agreed for executive check up-- he spent 2 days in the hospital diligently following every test the doctors had ordered for him. Thank God!

So, after my dad's successful hospital stay, I drove down to AC pier mall, where designer items priced from $500 and above are being displayed! hhahahah I felt like I am a wanna be Joneses! Then I decided to pick something from LV. Gen & Mel went with me too and we both shopped like we have tons of money!

Bruce Willis Has Serious Acting Ability

In my opinion Bruce Willis is one of the best actor's today. I recently watched his new movie Red on my www.tvbydirect.com and loved the entire movie. I've been a fan of his for years, and even before he became a huge movie star I remember my mom watching his show Moonlighting with Cybil Shepard.
I even admire how he has worked to keep a good relationship with his ex-wife and her new husband. He generally takes roles for action characters. Although, I wonder if he'll slow down a little now that he is getting older.

I've always thought Bruce Willis to be handsome, but I like that his characters are often humorous. My favorite movies are those that have both action and humor. I did enjoy his more serious role in Pulp Fiction though.

I find the craft of acting to be rather amazing because it seems so difficult to be able to transform yourself into a whole new person. You can tell those who aren't as skilled from the fact that they often play the same character movie after movie, so when someone such as Bruce Willis is able to go from John McClane in Die Hard to Butch Coolidge in Pulp Fiction; I have to admire that actor. I know that I'll be a huge Bruce Willis fan for many years.

There's this song "if a picture paints a thousand words.....na na na da da da..." my point is not about the cheesyness that envelops the message of the song but how it relates to the numerous times I had spent shopping. I thought I am a self confessed bag-a-holic but a shoe-a-holic instead. My friend Mel told me to take a picture of all my shoes ohh well I don't want to brag about it but its kind of a relief owning quite a few...errr a lot maybe? Facebook became active last night eastern time when I posted those 3 pictures.

I haven't thought that I could accumulate this much in less than 3 years, yes you read me right 3 long years of shoes shopping and still counting and by the way, only those New Balances sneakers are my husband's all the rests are mine.

Almost all the corners you can imagine in our house, are piles of shoe boxes. When I was young I wished to have a decent pair of shoes but I just simply can't, in order to feed my altered growing up years I somehow tried to patch up those times when I barely got nothing, without even knowing that I spent too much.

If I didn't send home those used shoes, sandals, flip-flops I think I could have been buried with it. When dad was with us, he lavished me with numerous shopping trips to the shoe store. He introduced me to shop at Macy's and the rests are my own finds all over. Believe me, if manong could see all these and the prices for each pair he would surely say, that is worth a big rice field!

As I have promised from my previous blog that I'm going to post pictures of my latest finds. I know I sound silly and at times bragging my stuff, please bear with me I didn't experience such luxury when I was growing up. I wore them twice already as I only go out after work strolling the mall or visiting friends. The weather here in NJ is crazy, one day its warm the next day is cold so spring season hasn't really sprung yet. There's no way that I can be glamorous yet freezing!

My close friends knew me as a shoe loving gal, ohh well its every woman's trait I think. For the love of shoes my closet is filled with numerous pairs of different footwear designs. Back then when I wasn't working yet, I limit myself on buying shoes, I see to it that I have the money to pay for. I saved from my weekly allowance and from the remainder of our weekly household budget. Now that I am working, I splurge, everytime I see a nice looking pair I would never think twice.

During my days off, I am frequent to the mall, Macy's and Nordstrom are my favorite places to shop. I also shop at my favorite boutiques like Guess by Marciano, Bebe, BCBG, CK, Ann Taylor... to name a few. I am more of a shoe and purse, unlike J my closest friend, she is more of jewelries and watches. Majority of my frequent purchases recently are shoes and dresses. I wear them few times and send back home when I felt tired of the item. Purse is different I keep them except the coach handbags which I already outgrew, I only kept 2 handbags for sentimental reasons. I once mentioned to my sister that coach no longer entice me. As a matter of fact she asked my first Marc Jacob purchase but I refused because it was the last item of its kind. I told her if she wants me to buy a different one but she don't want rather asked me to buy an Ipad  which I agreed but not right away.

Right now I am saving for my dream handbag as it costs my entire month's pay. I'll buy it for my birthday. Since I had been working a lot lately I bought quite few interesting pieces which deserve another blog entry with pictures of course.

A Gift for my Sister

I have not seen my sister who lives in a different state for over 2 years now.  I haven't visited her despite the fact that she and her family have visited us twice already.  I do miss them especially my little niece who talks a lot with me in the phone.  I guess she got our genes (we talk so much).

The last time my sister was here, we spend most of our days going to the mall.  We are both certified shopaholics.  We went to different stores and look for their sale items and we looked for best deals that we can buy on clothes, shoes and purses. 

Shopping with my sister is not possible right now unless it is online shopping.  I sent her the website of Bluefly because I want her to choose a pair of BCBG shoes.  I want to buy her a pair of shoes of her choice for her birthday.  You see she will be celebrating her birthday in the next few weeks and I want to buy something nice for her.  I am sure that she won't say no to bcbg as this is one of her favorite brands. 

I wish she would choose one of these because I think she will look good on any of these.

Can't Wait to Shop for Baby Things

Fun Time: Superbowl XLV

I bought couple pairs of scrub suits for work. I was literally on shopping mode yesterday. I spent atleast $48 bucks each pair. I've seen inexpensive scrubs but too bland...too boring which I can't see myself wearing those. The shopping whore in me kicks in to my senses.
